Meghan McCain also admits that she's also gone a little blonder. Blonder is always better, for me, she says.

I'm from Arizona, which is like being from Texas. So I like big hair and blond hair, and lots of makeup all the time, McCain says.

Kathleen Turner's New Broadway Play 'High' To Close After Just Eight Performances

The actress Kathleen Turner's new Broadway play 'High', which follows the actress as a formerly alcoholic nun, has been closed after just eight performances, reports Entertainment Weekly.

In the play, the 56 years old Kathleen Turner, portrays Sister Jamison Connelly, a recovering alcoholic nun who works as a rehab drug counselor who tries to help a gay teenage prostitute.

The drama will close on Sunday after eight regular performances and 28 previews at the Booth Theatre. 'High' earned only $91,020 last week, which was seventeen percent of its potential gross. The show also received some unenthusiastic reviews.

The play is the first open-run show to debut and close this year, but there are currently four shows on Broadway playing to theaters with less than 50 percent of the seats filled.

Robin Williams currently stars in a production of Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, which earned $477,410 last week, which was 47 percent of its potential income.




Actress Turner is best known for her roles in 'Body Heat', 'Peggy Sue Got Married' and 'Romancing the Stone'. In 2009, the actress appeared in several episodes of David Duchovny's Showtime comedy 'Californication'.

Turner has dealt with alcohol abuse in her own life, admitting that she abused it to deal with the pain of acute rheumatoid arthritis.

The Queen Elizabeth II has announced the new titles which await Prince William and Kate Middleton once they are married, the couple will be known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The couple will exchange vows in a lavish wedding at London's Westminster Abbey on Friday and the ceremony will mark Middleton's official induction to royal family.

Both William and his bride will be given titles from the Queen once they are wed, and just hours before the nuptials, Her Majesty confirmed her grandson will become the Duke of Cambridge, as well as holding the titles of Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus.

Kate Middleton will be known as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

A statement from issued by the press secretary to the Queen, reads, The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince William of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus.

Paris Hilton's 'Stalker' Detained After Attack On Her Boyfriend Cy Waits - Watch

Paris Hilton's boyfriend Cy Waits was on Wednesday, April 27, confronted by a man the heiress called a 'stalker' and 'psycho intruder' just before the couple testified at the trial of a person accused of trying to break into her home with knives last summer.

As Paris Hilton and Cy Waits walked into the courthouse, James Rainford, 36, was seen grabbing Waits around him neck from behind. Hilton's bodyguard later tackled him, and led him away to turn him over to police. Rainford was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a person and was being held on $20,000 bail. He has not yet been charged.

He had in January pleaded no contest to civil assault after he was arrested for trying to contact Hilton at her home in the Hollywood Hills. He was sentenced to three years of probation.

That other psycho intruder just punched Cy Waits in the back of the head as we were walking into the court house. So scary! Hilton Tweeted after the incident.

At the scene, she called Rainford a 'stalker' and told reporters on the scene. Oh my god, that is another intruder who came to my house on a bike. This guy just attacked my boyfriend.

As James Rainford was being led away by the heiress' bodyguard, he was asked if he had tried to attack Hilton.

No, said Rainford, who identified himself as 'Jim Rainford'. 'I've already proposed to her and her dad already said 'Yes'. I wanted to her get her to sign my picture of me proposing to her.

When asked if he was okay, Cy Waits said, yeah, I'm good.

Nathan Parada, 31, is the suspect who was the focus of Wednesday's trial. In August 2010, he was arrested and charged with felony first degree burglary with a person present after security men spotted him wielding two knives outside her house in the Hollywood Hills.

He has pleaded not guilty and has no known prior link to the actress, who was inside her home with Cy Waits at the time of the reported incident.

The 58-year-old star, who owed $718,948.25 for the 2008 tax year and $1,024,175.03 for 2009, accepts she spent too much time focusing on herself rather than concentrating on her household finances.

Sharon Osbourne said, I'm to blame. Even though the accountant is paid to do a job, the buck stops with me. I was too involved with myself. I cancelled two meetings with him over the last 18 months because I was way too busy. The bottom line is it stops with me.

Janet Richardson Dies In Hospital After Being Dropped Into Icy Seas

Janet Richardson, who was accidentally dropped into the Norwegian Sea as rescue workers took her off a cruise ship late last month has died, the hospital where she was treated said last Saturday.

The 73-year-old, Janet fell ill while on a Scandinavian cruise and was being transferred to a rescue boat on March 29 when coast guard officers let her stretcher drop into the sea.

The woman spent four minutes treading water in the sea, which was just a few degrees above freezing at the time.

It is with regret that Mrs. Janet Richardson passed away on Thursday evening, North Cumbria University Hospitals said in a statement. Respecting the family's wishes we have no further comment at this time.

The botched rescue came on the eighth day of the cruise from Hull on the east coast of England. According to organizer Cruise and Maritime Voyages, Richardson began suffering from internal bleeding during the homeward leg of a two-week cruise on the Ocean Countess ship.

Her husband, retired farmer George Richardson, said she was suffering from dizziness and low blood pressure when the captain decided to transfer her to shore.

He said, the great-grandmother was lowered about 25 feet (7.6 meters) to the rescue ship when the vessels suddenly moved apart and she fell into the water.

Richardson had to stay in the water while rescue workers steered the coast guard boat away to avoid crushing her between the ships.

She was given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on the rescue boat and spent a week in intensive care in Norway before being transferred to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, England.




Head of the rescue department at Norwegian Sea Rescue, Hans Skaar said the coast guard has completed the initial stages of an internal investigation. He said a report will likely be released in the next couple of weeks.

The bride-to-be has asked Royal jewellers to fit two beads inside the £32 million (Rs 231 crore) sapphire band once worn by Princess Diana to stop it slipping.






The dazzling sapphire and diamond band was first given to Princess Diana for her engagement.
William later gave Kate the same ring to ensure his mother was a part of the special day



Willowy Kate is having the ring made smaller because she is terrified it will fall off as she marries William.


Kate, who seems to be slimming for her big day, has reluctantly accepted the dazzling sapphire and diamond band is too big for her size H finger.

Everything stops come playoff time in those towns. Granted, the Magic are getting their lunches handed to them at the moment by the Hawks.

The Girls’ Night Out performance show aired on CBS at the same time as the game between the Magic and the Hawks. The concert featuring Carrie Underwood had 118,000 viewers, while the NBA game only had 98,000.

Though a great number, it seems like Carrie Underwood and her ladies outshined the brothers who played their toughest NBA Playoff game yet.

Interestingly, this has never happened to any other team like Boston, New York or Los Angeles, as time stops whenever there is NBA Playoffs in their towns.

Lisa Lopes Remembered NineYears After Her Tragic Death

The American singer and former Tlc member, Lisa Lopes is being remembered nine years after her tragic death, 25th April 2011. Lisa Lopes, better known as Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, was killed in a car accident in Honduras at the age of 30.

Lisa Lopez was driving her brother, sister and two friends around Honduras while vacationing in the country, on April 25th 2002. The singer attempted to pass another vehicle when a car approached from the other lane. Attempting to swerve and miss the oncoming vehicle, Lopes crashed into a tree at high speed and died of neck injuries and severe head trauma.

Music mogul L.A. Reid paid tribute to the late singer over the weekend, telling the Hollywood Reporter, I think about her often. I miss Lisa a lot. Reid recalled how Lopes had moved to Atlanta in order to make a name for herself in the music industry, saying, She was like my little girl, and I loved her.

I was closer to her and I was devastated at the loss of her. I still love her today, and she still is in my mind and in my thoughts daily. It's been quite some time now but it's one of those things that just never goes away.

As well as her work with Tlc, Lisa Lopes recorded one solo studio album entitled 'Supernova'. The record was released in the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan and China, but not in the United States.

Prince William's bride-to-be Kate Middleton, whose sartorial style will be closely scrutinized by fashionistas once she's officially a princess, is already getting credit for bringing one style stateside -- the precariously-perched feathered 'fascinator'.

The fascinator is a particularly ornate hair accessory that can feature feathers, beads, flowers and other fancy trimmings.

Kate Middleton seems to favor the feathered variety and has been photographed wearing a variety of them.

Fascination over the Fascinator is growing in the United States, with Google (GOOG, Fortune 500) searches up 50 percent for this style of hat since January.

Fascinator sales have soared recently at Cedar Park, Texas-based Serendipity Tiaras, an online seller and supplier of bridal accessories such as veils, broaches, tiaras and fascinators to bridal boutiques.

Serendipity Tiaras owner Laura Lyons said, orders are coming in from all over but most are from California, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

In the United States, brides tend to prefer headbands, veils and tiaras. So Lyons was surprised with the jump in fascinator orders just as the summer wedding season gets underway.

She said, In fact, at Serendipity Tiaras, fascinator sales have trumped orders for tiaras, considered to be the traditional wedding headpiece.

Orders are coming in for all kinds of feathered fascinators. Customers also want fascinators with a small spray of flowers, tulle or with a hat, she said.

Laura Lyons said prices for her China-made fascinators range from $35 to $100. As demand heats up, Lyons said some of her styles are on backorder but promises to fulfill each order as quickly as she can.
