Mike & Molly (CBS, 9:30) is back for its second season premiere tonight on CBS.
The sitcom stars a working-class Chicago couple who find love at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting, and this season starts as the titular pair adjust to being engaged.
I always found the show a little tame and old-fashioned, but also charming and watchable, and its promotion of overweight characters to a title role should be applauded.
Also, the first season saw lead Melissa McCarthy (Molly) grab a well-deserved Emmy win for best actress in a comedy.
